Blue domes and white villages on the rim of a flooded volcano, above the Aegean Sea.
The villages of Fira and Oia cling to the cliffs of the caldera, three hundred metres above the water. The walk between them, along the rim, is one of the most beautiful in the Mediterranean.
Take a boat to the volcanic islets in the middle of the caldera, swim in the warm springs and taste the island's white Assyrtiko wine.
