A fjord of waterfalls and sheer cliffs in Fiordland National Park.
Mitre Peak rises straight from the water; after rain, hundreds of waterfalls pour down the walls of the fjord. A cruise or a kayak brings you close to seals and dolphins.
The road from Te Anau is part of the trip, and the Milford Track, one of the Great Walks, takes four days through the rainforest.
